It is our pleasure to welcome you to the 2023-24 school year! The first day of school for all students is Thursday, August 31, 2023. We are still finalizing student timetables and are not able to make any changes until further notice. Thanks for your understanding.

Ready for Back to School? Here we go!

Thursday, August 31 First Day of School Instructions

• Early next week, teachers will be sending a school messenger to families of the students in their homeroom. Please monitor your email to find out who is/are your child(ren) homeroom teacher(s).
• Then, on the first day of school, Thursday, August 31 starting at 9:00 am, teachers will meet and greet their homerooms students on the back field.
• Teachers will be holding signs with their name and homeroom class number – as your child(ren) to look for their teacher. All Peter Lougheed staff will be outside helping students find their homeroom teacher.
• FREE HOT DOG LUNCH! WOOOO HOOOOO!!!
• All students will get a choice of a Halal Chicken or Veggie Hotdog catered by the delicious Saffron Catering Hot Dog Train! Choo Choo! Yum!
• Thursday and Friday will be Connect Days where students will stay with their homeroom teachers building relationships and community through fun and engaging activities.

The Thunder Café will reopen for lunch Tuesday, September 5, 2023! A new menu will be released soon. Wednesday's remain Pizza Day and we will be adding new hot lunches for the 2023/24 school year! YAY!

Bell Times for the 2023-24 School Year are as follows

Monday-Thursday: 9:05-3:45
Friday: 9:05-12:26

School Supply Lists

School supplies will be provided for students in Grade 5/6.

For students in Grades 7-9, teachers will provide a list of supplies students will need as part of their school messenger.
