Dear Peter Lougheed families,

The four modular classrooms we have been expecting will be moved onto the Peter Lougheed School site this week. Notably, the crane will be set up on Mar. 19 at 1 PM and the modulars will be moved onto foundations towards the end of the week. At this time, work will primarily be taking place on the west side of the school.

On Thursday, Mar. 20, the modular units will be moved onsite during the morning and moved into the construction area. No work will take place during breaktimes to maintain safety. We suggest parents avoid using Saddletree Drive for pick up and drop off on Thursday, Mar. 20.

Once the modular units are on-site, additional work will be required before they can be used as learning spaces. This work will continue through late spring, with the classrooms expected to be ready for the 2025-2026 school year.

Student and staff safety remains our top priority. The construction area will be securely fenced, and all work during school hours will be carefully managed to minimize disruptions.

We understand these temporary adjustments may cause some inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation. Thank you for your support as we enhance our school community.

If you have any questions about this work, please email facilityprojects@cbe.ab.ca.

Sincerely,

Calgary Board of Education
