Halloween

Students will be engaged throughout the day in regular learning opportunities with some dance options in PE. Students are able to dress in costumes, but it is not required.

Costumes should not inhibit movement (must be able to participate in PE and other classes), no weapons, no masks and no blood or gore. Be sure costumes are age and school appropriate.

Physical Education

A reminder that we will be doing some outdoor modules during winter months and the students need to come prepared with jackets, sweaters, hats, gloves or mitts and boots can be beneficial too to keep feet from getting cold.

Shout out to our grade 5 students that organized a teacher vs student basketball charity game. We were able to raise $52 to donate to the Mustard Seed to help homeless people.

Athletics

This week in basketball our junior boys started the week with a super close loss to Ted Harrison in a back and forth match and then won against Prairie Sky. Our junior girls lost both in tough matches on Tuesday. Our senior boys won both of their games at home on Wednesday with a raucous crowd to cheer them on. Our senior girls played on Thursday night in away games and won one and lost a close on. Our junior boys are hosting on Monday and both our junior teams will be playing in their tournament next weekend.

A reminder to parents with athletes on the cross country, basketball and soccer teams that we need you to pay your team fees for us to be able to pay our referees, our tournaments and our end of season party. Please pay the fees in MyCBE.

We are excited to offer wrestling again for the 2023-2024 school year. Interested students can sign up outside of room 239 beginning next week. More information to come!

Robotics Purdy's Fundraiser

We are fundraising for our Robotics team! We would like to purchase more materials for our robot. The fundraiser for Purdys Chocolate will run until November 26. The chocolates will be delivered to the school by December 11. Thank you for all your support.
