Athletics

Our junior girls finished off their regular season with two close battles playing the best basketball they have played all year.  The junior girls finished the season off in 6th place and will play in the quarter-finals on November 19th at Ted Harrison School at 7:00 pm versus Crossing Park.  Our junior boys split their last two games on Tuesday and finished in 4th place in the regular season.  They will play in the quarter-finals on November 19th at Prairie Sky School at 5:00 pm versus Terry Fox.  Our senior girls finished their season off also playing their best basketball finishing in 6th place in the league.  They will play in the quarter-finals on November 19th at Terry Fox School at 5:00 pm versus Annie Gale.  Our senior boys played their first game against Clarence Sansom and kep their undefeated season going.  They will play their last two games of the season next week followed by the playoffs the following week.

Just a reminder of parents of both our soccer teams and basketball teams that we need you to pay your team fees as we need to pay our referees for the season and pay for the tournaments we were in.  If you are having trouble paying your fees on Powerschool please contact the office and they can help you out.

Athletic Schedule

Please ensure that if your child is planning to try out for an athletic team that they have turned in their athletic tryout purple form to the phys ed office.  If students still need this form, they can pick one up from the pe office in the gym.

Physical Education

Just a reminder to all parents to ensure students are coming with proper clothing so they can participate in Physical Education class.  The weather is getting colder in the mornings so we need to have students come prepared to be outside.  Also, any students wearing crocs or sandals/flip flops will not be allowed to participate in the activities as there are major safety concerns with these types of footwear. This coming week in Physical Education class students will have a choice day on both Thursday and Friday.  The following week we will be starting our dance module where students have chosen between researching a dance of the world, bhangra dancing, creating their own dance, or international dance which includes hip hop, line dancing, party dances, jive, 2-step and salsa.
